Getting Started

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are recommended—especially during tax season—so we can set aside time just for you, but they are not required. You can book an appointment online, call us, or request a free consult. Kris will help you find the best next step.

What types of returns do you prepare?

We prepare all individual personal income tax returns, including Form 1040 and Form 1040-SR. We also prepare LLC returns based on tax classification, partnership returns (Form 1065), S corporation returns (Form 1120-S), and C corporation returns (Form 1120). We currently do not prepare nonresident individual returns (Form 1040-NR) or nonprofit organization returns (Form 990).

Can you prepare my taxes remotely?

Yes. We offer secure remote tax preparation, along with mobile and in-person options. You’ll have access to our secure document upload portal, so you can share your tax documents conveniently and stay in touch throughout the process.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes. Clients and nonclients can refer someone. When that person becomes a new paying client, you receive at least $40 cash or, if you’re a client, a credit toward a future invoice. They receive 15% off their first tax-preparation fee with us, too. Your reward may be higher depending on the work. Ask them to mention your name when they contact us, then register your referral here.

Is a secure document upload portal available?

Yes. You can upload your tax documents securely through our Client Portal from home, on your own schedule. It’s a private way to share sensitive files without using ordinary email attachments. If you need help signing in or knowing what to upload, contact us and we’ll guide you.

Filing & Pricing

Can you prepare federal and state returns?

Yes. We prepare federal returns and all state returns based on your filing needs.

Do you prepare prior-year tax returns?

Yes. We prepare prior-year and unfiled federal and state tax returns. We’ll help you identify the years that need attention, gather the right documents, and make a clear plan to get caught up.

Do you prepare amended returns?

Yes. We prepare amended returns for the return types we support. Amended nonprofit returns (Form 990) are not included.

How much does tax preparation cost?

Federal return preparation starts at $99. We’ll discuss your situation first; you can request a price estimate before work begins. If significant new information or additional work changes the scope, we’ll explain any price adjustment before proceeding.

How long does tax preparation usually take?

Once I have everything needed to prepare your return, most returns are completed within 24–48 hours. More complex returns or limited schedule availability may take a little longer, but I’ll keep you updated so you always know where things stand. If you’re already a client and would like an update on your return, please get in touch through our Contact page. I’m happy to check in with you and answer any questions.

Expert Help

What is an Enrolled Agent, and how does that benefit me?

An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a tax professional who has earned a federal credential from the IRS and is authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS. In everyday terms, an EA is a tax specialist who can do more than prepare a return — an EA can also help explain tax issues, respond to IRS notices, and represent you in matters such as audits, collections and appeals when appropriate. For you, that means working with someone who is focused on tax law, must meet ongoing education requirements, and can continue helping if a tax issue becomes more complicated. Learn more about Enrolled Agents on IRS.gov.

What if I receive an IRS notice?

You don’t have to sort it out alone. Upload a clear photo or scan of all pages of the notice through our secure Client Portal, including any response deadline. If you need help getting started, contact us and we’ll guide you. As an Enrolled Agent, we can help explain the issue, outline your next steps, and properly represent you before the IRS when appropriate.

Do you offer tax planning?

Yes. Year-round tax planning can help individuals and small-business owners make smarter decisions before tax season.

Do you have a blog?

Yes. Visit our Tax Tips & Guides page for clear, practical articles about filing, planning, and common tax questions. You can browse anytime and reach out if you’d like help with your own situation.
